Hey ,
This time I am back b4 the year figures changed in the calendar :) and wil try to be this regular from now on.Well I am on "forced vacation" for this week and am not attending office.Being year end, many of my friends have been in Delhi to celebrate New year with there families.Hence I keep getting calls from them .As always we plan for lot of things but sadly most of them die down before getting materialised. Before you launch your thought space shutle, i will clarify the plans are for meeting / holding a get together or going for a movie...but am happy to say one of them finally got materialised and we were able to execute the entire plan thoroghly today ...
The day for me begin as usual with me lazily getting up at around 9:00 AM ( man i tried getting up before that but it was very painful and I decided I wont over strain myself till my vacations are on)..At around 9:15 AM I got a call from an old friend who had come to delhi from bangalore and we decided to meet and go for a movie ...He came to pick me up from my house and we went to watch Bluffmaster.A good one time watch (this is the exact statement niether an understatement nor an over statement). If u watch this movie more than once then either u r sick and insane or u are geting this ticket sponsored by MR bachhan! The movie deals with a guy who considers himself as the greatest con man of his time(and so does the dir of the movie) and is conned by his GF and a buding director. The movie has many loop holes and I dont want to waste my blogspace discussing that.
After the movie we went to gurgaon bargaining at teh idea that the road back to our place is a extremely good for driving and u will get an international feel once you are there. In the evening I was planning to meet some old college friends at the same place where we watched movie in the morning. On our wayt to Gurgaon , some friend caled me and we went to pick him up from hs office. He took us to some Mall in gurgaon and man that was somethnig I had been missing. There were so many good people there that cant be described( u need to call me to get the full detail).
We had our lunch sometime in the evening at the same mall and started our way back. The drive back to my place via Dwarka is simply amazing and you get the feel that you had ne'er witnessed in India before. The roads are so broad and well laid. There is proper lighting on the roads and all the signs are well marked to give you proper directions.
After reaching we met the person (who had ben my roommate in bangl and also a college mate) and went to my place for dinner.
On a whole it a was a day well spent and totally utilised ;with fun as much as the centuries scored by tendulkar
This is a bit delayed upload of this post so kindly bear(as if u had a choice)

Nothing to Write
Hey ,
Well I don't have much to write today but will try to make this entry as long and as funny as possible. So here I start
I am in office .It is 7:20 PM in night. If I leave at correct time, I will be home by this time and would be enjoying porridge or something nourishing made by me mom for me.But am here.BTW I just had maggi at our cafeteria. With the onset of winters, maggi will soon be my fav food again. If served hot, it can help in soothing your sour throat, stop the tinkering in your stomach and recharge you to go out in cold for a walk.Ah I missed one important point,it is ready in 2 mins .So whenever you feel , go and get it instantly.
I have my roommate in delhi but am not able to meet him today.I came on bus today(remember JMC chartered) so going from my office to his house and then to my house without your personal conveyance in a festival season in delhi will take me more time than going to moon from earth.Am planning to meet him tomorrow provided things are smooth at office. The update on the bus is that not many people were there in the bus today and hence I had a dull day today.I was so tied up in office that I could not even sleep in afternoon after lunch. But I am not losing hope thistime.I can and will make a difference.Another good thing about coming early is I am able to meet some of my old friends who take bus from the same bus stop.So it is a small get together for us in the morning where we share jokes ,try to pull each others legs and ofcourse the routine bird watching stuff ;)(sorry can't stop that .. after all men are .. well .. men ).
I met a very old friend of mine after about 12 years. He was my neighbour for some 6 years before he moved to germany with his family. Now he is back for some formalities before he signsoff India and moves to Fatherland forever. It was a new experience for me altogether. For first 15 mins, I didn't knew how to behave. He took time to sink in that he was the same guy with whom we used to roam around, chat, fly kites, play cricket and god knows what all.Things have changed a lot since then. From being juveniles we had become more responsible and sensible(both physically and emotionally), persons capable of executing our duties. But it is also a sign of worry as it simply means that we are getting older and sooner than later we will be categoriesed in 'The Uncle' bracket.
It also means that parents start talking about your marriage and this matter comes up more frequently and the %age of exposure is more that that is for mallika.Oh this reminds Mallika's bday was yesterday and from all her fans I wish her happy bday.I seriously hope she gets bigger clothes as gifts this time and will stop wearing her childish soveniours from now.
Chalo now it is time to go home as hot food will be waiting for me
yummy

Chartered Bus to Office
Hey,
I have moved from bangl to delhi about 2 months back.My home is in West Delhi but my office is in outskirts of delhi and the distance between the two is some 33 KM .I have been driving to and fro for quite some time and have got bored of this daily jehad.Everyday ,I will move my car out parking and drive it in first gear till we reach a little bigger road and from then the day starts. In the midst of honking from all kinds of vehicles ,I wil be driving my (a bit old) Maruti 800 trying to listen to some FM radio staion ,fixing my eyes on the road.I would louden the music in the car to deafen the outer noise .But still the fun part was missing in all this.
Then I heard about a bus that comes from my place to office directly."That is cool!!"I thought. But the timing of the bus was 7:30 AM in the morning. Can u imagine a guy who used to woke up at 8:30 AM need to be at the bus stop by 7:30 AM .That was an impossible thing to happen and I was by no way ready tosacrifice my priced sleep for a bus.Never.Sometime later, I was chatting to a colleague who lived closed my place and he told me that he has been coming in the same bus now & then and that bus is filled with JMC people(if u know what jmc means ;)).His words filled my head with tintinabulation.I jumped on my seat.Man am I dumbo!!I was missing all this for last two months. Not any longer. So it was decided , I will try to be coming in the bus.Rather I will be coming in the BUS.
I announced in my home that I will be going in a bus and hence will be leaving early. No one knew why/how this sudden transformation has come from.
Ok this was the background story .Now to the pivot point of this blog.Well the Bus has a route which forces it to pass from the front of the college .Two factors that are critical for girsl to be present in this bus are
1. The college is in interior and u need to walk for about 1 KM to reach there from the nearest bus stand.
2. The timing of the bus made it an undeniable offer for the students to go in it.Not to mention the cost factor that is always crucial for students(hey I have done a SWAT analysis on this topic)
The Bus is filled like anything by the students of the college. You climb into the bus and you get to see some beautiful faces and Bingo !! You have a bright day . Students of different streams come in the bus .Sometimes they sit next to you ,sometimes you sit next to them .Well all this reminds me of college days when JMC was the buzzword in our college and anyone knowing someone in that college was given a royal treatment .It was a matter of extreme prestige to know people there. And I am now feeling somewhat similar to that.
hey my college buddies if you read this ..I know a few people from JMC
Cheers

News Channel - what to say ?
Hey,
third blog in the day ..man i dont have any work isnt it .. No it is not true .I have to study lot of things J2ee arch, Perl scripts, Shell scripts and ofcourse junit .But as the grate saying goes, in IT no matter what ur deadline is there is always time for a game of TT ;)
I actually wanted to post this long time back but the compu at my home (that big box which I used to proudly call computer in my college days) is down due to some hardware issues and hence this blog is delayed.
To start with we have our huge list of news channels which promise us to keep us uptodate with the truth no matter where it happens and when it happens. On one side if we compare the scenario some 15 years back when the only source for news was Doordarshan and what we used to hear was Govt biased version of all the events.People used to eagerly wait for the time when the news will be aired( probably 8:30 pm for hindi and 9:30 pm for english news)
Then came 2002 and with it we got a monsoon of news channels of all shapes and varities. These channels highlighted the difference independent media can make were considered as one of the great revolution in the field of mass media and communication. This gave people ready access to the news as it happened. But this was just the beginning. Then came its ugly face. With so many news channels sharing the same platform, the battle became stiff.Channels fought for exclusive rights for events to increase there TRPs.The channels started claiming openly that they were the first to air an event or report an happening. The insecurity has grown to this extent that in case one news channels changes its schedule of programs, all other follow it and they make sure that similar programs/chat shows are aired at same time.
The worst to happen is the airing of crime reporters/hadsaa/khabardaar kind of programs. These programs(rather horror shows) have a presenter which by face seems to be a serial killer .The way they narate incidents is even more scarier and spooky. The script they have is pathetic and is made in a way that you become suspicious about your neighbour as soon as you listen to it.Things like murder, rape, dacoit are just raw material for them; added some spice and they are ready to be aired .I watched one such episode and I was of the feeling that there is only crime happeneing everywhere.
The icing on cake is these shows are advertised in the news channel at prime time .You would be watching russian delegation visiting India.then a break and you happen to see that horrible person shouting with all his might "Bhooliyega mat aaj raat dekhna Mandir ka poojari bana shaitaan ka poojari " or some crap.
This gives an impression that cheap journalism is taking over the featured and rich news journalism and the point of worry is that is widespread on all channels.
Another feather in this cap is the news channel ,in the race to be ahead of the others in reporting any happening, resort to falsely reporting figures/facts to public.Numerous instances of such cases can be listed here
1) One news channel made a report that some 500 people died in the quake in a particular village whereas the complete population of the village was some 250 odd.
2) Another Newspaper had this on there front page
"Karthikeyan :"I was knocked out for 30 seconds and when I regained conciousness there was fire"
While the same guy had said he was unconcious for couple of seconds
Can't say what to trust and what not to .The better idea would be to listen to many news channels and then decide whether it is true or not
take care

Trip to Nainital II
hey ,
this is real fussy .. the blog i had put with day 2 for the trip got missing and no one knows what happened on the second day and I am in no mood to re-write it completely. So I will be a bit brief.
Second day was sunny and we got call from the hotel attendant to take advantage of this .we( a group of 7 guys) decided to go for trekking .. but by the time we moved out of hotel , I and my roommate lost contact with the rest of the group .But with the idea of the place we were targetting to reach we started and after enquiring localities we were able to reach that place ...the road to Snowview point(what we were aiming for) was rough, slippery due to 5 day rain and at places very scary. The climb was steep with the angle of elevation reaching 60 degrees sometimes ... but overall it was a good trek and made me realize how unfit I am incomparison to the localities there.
On our way back we hired a taxi who took us to different scenic places .That included Tiffin top, camel hump,Lake view and couple of other places which I dont remember .
We reached hotel, had lunch there and packed our bags for our return journey .
What i learned from all this is to copy all the content of ur blog before you press the publish button ;)

Trip to Nainital
Hey,
I had been to nainital last weekend with some of the office guys .. Infact it was a trip organised by people from my office and I had joined at the last day to be a part of the trip ...the schedule was to leave delhi on friday night , reach Nainital on saturday and start back on sunday night to reach delhi on monday morning (i must say it was pretty tight schedule to begin with) .All that week daily was covered with clouds and it was raining almost round the clock ..with all roads water logged and Bombay experience in the back of our minds, the situation looked grimmer than it was actually. On friday, I left office around 4:30 PM as it was raining and I had planned to go to home ,pack my stuff , buy new pair of sports shoes and then start for the railway station ...I was to meet another frnd on way to railway station and we were to go toghether ... rather we had planned to take metro on our way to Old delhi railway station... I was to travel in metro for the first time in my life and must congratulate those people .. they had done a marvellous job in bringing it up..The stations are clean and well maintained .. with proper lighting and state of the art systems to support the entry to the trains ... You can't enter the station with proper ticket amount in your coupon and the coupon is checked both at the time of entry and exit from the station...The metro train was scheduled to come at 21:21 and it was on the dot (which was shocking for me .. how can a train come on time in India? No delay even for a minute ..man these guys have really done awesome job)...and the journey was equally comfortable with no jerks on the way no noise of train and no hoch poch .. the journey went smoothly and in total 40 minutes(of which 10 min were for waiting) we were at the old delhi railyway station ....
In the train we played Dumb C(though I must admit I was pathetic in this game and to give you a feel of my grueling situation I was not able to guess even a single movie ..thank god it was a team with some studs who used to guess in no time) .. on friday I slept at 3:30AM .. and was woken up at 5:30 AM .. to get down from the train .. The station was kath godown and we were to take buses from here to nainital ...It was about an hour and a half long journey .. But as soon as we got down from the train we were able to feel the difference in the temperature ... mercury would have gone down by atleast 10degrees and the clouds hided the sun to make it worse ...
We later came to know that it was raining for last 4 days and we were lucky not to have any land slides as otherwise the trip would have been cancelled ...The buses were to take us to a point from where we were to board jeeps and qualis to reach to our booked hotels ...Our entire troup was divided into 2 separate groups for the sake of hotel accomodation and I was put in Chevron Hotel..It was a good resort earlier a YWCA building on a hill top and with a view of naina lake from the garden (somehow some people didn't liked the hotel and the food served.. for me I was just back from bangl after 2 years and thus was liking everything) ...On saturday , it rained throughout the day and all our plans were washed away(literally) but how can that happen .. while some people decided to play tambola ,I and 4 other guys moved out of hotel and roamed around in Nainital .. the idea was to move out of hotel even if it rains ... and it was amazing experience .The fear of rain is only till the time you do not get wet .. after that it doesn't really matters as to what happens .. me and other 4 guys had got completely drenched ..but Nainital looked more beautiful when freshly washed by rain .with vacant roads and cloudy sky it was a gr8 sight... We covered entire lake in rain and on our way took two breaks .. 1) for tea and 2) for tea and alloo ticki .. that was the best thing to have in rain .. hot tea and alloo ticki ... the steaming tea and aroma of fried potato made us more hungry and we ate whole heartedly ... and then decided to start back as by this time we were feeling a bit chilly and freezing ... The place we were staying was good but was on a hill and the climb to it was good steep u can say probably some 60degrees and the rain made it look all the more steeper .After reaching hotel we just got freshened up , got into dry clothes(I thank my mom for forcing me to take extra jeans with me) and waited anxiously for the dinner to be served. After the dinner I just retired to my room and slept well ..Day two continues

The story so far
Hey sorry for missing from the scene...I was well not busy but just could not persuade myself to write something ...
Uhh .. so the story from my last entry so far ..
1. I have been assigned a project and was then reassigned to a new component ..
2. have improved my TT a little. Now the ball goes closer to the table(and not towards roof as it was earlier) have also started winning sets(though once in a while)
3. Started a school yahoo group to get in touch with the school mates
4. There was my cousin's marriage and all my relatives were in delhi to attend it.Had lots of blast there and it was fun to be there ... lots of roaming(in one day I drove some 190 km inside delhi only) .. The photographs for that are not yet available .. will upload once they are here...
Well more or less the life is going steady ...the only problem being commutation from my place to office and back .. this only takes some 3 hrs and when seen in terms on damages it amounts to 5K ..which is a good amount of money .. but so fdar it is ok as long as I am able to drive my father to office
Ya a thing I missed to mention is that I haven't anyone after coming to delhi except for 3 people from my college so far and it is more than 1.5 months since I had arrived here... will try to meet them in coming week ..
I went to Nainital from office so will be mentioning that in next entry
take care

Table Tennis
Hey,
I was formally inducted to the TT room today .. played for some 1 hour before I went for lunch .. not so tough game as I feel it now.. pretty clean and tidy game .. but most of my shots were finding the floor /ceiling rather than the table.
Life is cool so far .. notmuch work as of now but lot to learn so that I become productive ...
Am looking for someone whom I can pool while coming back to save some petrol and more importantly to get rid of the pain of driving back in the evening .. i tell u man after a complete day it is pain to drive back from office ..
The cafeteria is good and food is better than previous office(probably because I have come from bangl and there the food served was south india cuisine whereas here it is North Indian one)
Still I am not able to send mail on my college yahoo group or contact any one otherwise .I am planning to get my connection tranferred to delhi tomorrow and also to get my Car serviced so that it remains in a good running condition.

New Company
Hey long time ..
I have been very irregular with the blogs nowadays .. but what to do with so much happening in life ..
I have moved from my old company(oracle) to a new company, I have moved from bangalore to my home Delhi .. so no more of the bachelor life blues but ya u will get more of the S/w professional's cribbing ;)(sorry can't help it)
Last days in Oracle were quite eventful .. with me roaming around a lot .. went to Shiva samudram(one of the oldest dams in India), Chennai , watched some 4 movies (one after bunking the office )(Sarkar,Mr & MRs Smith,War of the worlds and Maine pyaar kyon kiya)
signing off from Oracle was equally hectic and painful .. had to go to all the buildings to get signatures of people whom I dont even know ... but it all went fine
Then there was pain of relocating myself to delhi .. winding up my account from there, collecting my stuff, selling of my bike , meeting people whom I had known there etc etc ... all piled up with excitement to come back home
And back home the life is pretty different .. it is really hot and humid here and I may require about a week to get adjusted to this climate. Then there is the distance to travel (for commuting to office and back).Things are still settling down to places and probably by next week I will start feeling better ...as of now not many people are aware of my where abouts as my phone is still the old number and I am not able to get the local number for Delhi.
Chalo will catch later

I AM BACK
Hey
I am back from a short- sweet- hot vacation .Things look different once you come back from vacation.Short for it was only 8 days, hot for it was boiling hot there .. temperature touching 43-45 .. moving out in sun was something that required a lot of courage and metal in you(otherwise u wud melt ;)).
Vacation was too hectic and was well jammed with lots of activities .. roaming around , visiting relatives, getting my car reparied(which otherwise is not even touched), catching up with old and new friends, celebrating my bday, visiting haridwar for a couple of days , having a bath in cold Ganges (with scorching sun shining directly over your head) , njoying home made food ,doing some bird watching (;)) the list continues on and on but the crux of all is had "fun". It reminds me you do not feel like going to vacation or rather you dont feel the importance of a vacation until you have one and come back.It relieves your thought from junk things or to put it in a Computer jargon .. it performs garbage collection in your mind and frees up memory. ( a bad one i know);) But the message is clear, you feel better (even though i had a tough time remembering what all I was doing before I left for vacation) . Another advantage is you get to see new places, people and cultures which are otherwises not even existent for us.
What I mean .. how many of times we change the route to work in regular intervals? Most of us take the same 1-2 route to work and a deviation from the regular route makes us malaise. The reason is humans are by nature to resistant to change and in our daily routine we usually do not welcome them.We are settled in our own comfortable routines and assumes ourselves that we are too busy and are already exhausted by what we are doing. This is just our perception and the beauty is each one of us is under this impression and the bottomline is we all are lacking , some way or the other, time-management for us and our activities.
Well enough of crap will stop here
Now back in banglore with my job and office .. nothing much changed here and hectic life .. no time for anything ;)

Home coming
Hey it is thursday today and same time tomorrow I will be air bound heading for my home in delhi .. a vacation after 8 months of continuous stay in Banglore ... going home is as always exciting and fills u with all the energy ... going home .. no work .. no office .. no junk .. meeting family - parents, sisters ,relatives, friends .. roaming around ... eating mom's delicacies ... man the list is endless .. and the best part is the royal treatment you get when you go home can 't be explained in words .. it is something u can feel on your own and njoy ....
Though my vacation is short I have jam packed so that I dont waste even a single minute of it and what more will be going from delhi to haridwar ... i tell u that is a great place to go especially in summers with hot sun shining brightly and taking a dip in ganges is a amazing experience ... and you feel more hunger once you are out of waters ... well I have been waiting to be there for a long time now .Last time i went was probably 2 years back and it is now .. well lets see how much has it changed in terms of place ...
For delhi my plan is to visit my relatives , try to meet college friends whom I haven't met for a long time now .. well that is it ... that will be all before I willl be again starting back
oh yes I missed .. got to do lot of shopping as well the list seems to be longer than anytime before and would be taking every penny I had saved so far to buy it but no worries I had saved for this purpose only .
Chalo yaar now have to go .. need to pack my stuff(more importantly need to identify my stuff first ;)) and get my gear ready for the journey ... but some how I feel that I dont want to come back here again .. but it had been everytime I have been in delhi so no change in that status
take care and cu after vacation

Tana na nana tin oh pizza aaye free !!!
Hey again!!!
Well curious about the title .. sure u wud be .
It all started on that fateful sunday night when my roommate lifted the telephone receiver and called up Pizza hut. Being in banglore on sunday evening means that you have to look out for your food yourself .And that too if you are with people who do not know how to cook that means you are doomed to be burried hungry .Anyways so we ordered for pizza for all of us and started watching a relatively new and better movie(Dhoom) ... time went by and so did movie and we started feeling a hunger type feeling in our stomachs ... it had already been 1 and half hour since we had placed our order and according to them delivery time was 50 minutes but so far there was no sign of pur pizzas ... we started searching for alternatives to our pizza but not to much success ... Finally it came but after 2 hrs from the order time .. so we called up the center and talked to the manager there .. we were given 50% discount on the pizzas we had ordered .. and an assurance our next order would be completely free. But we ne'er knew that it was so .. Next day our cook didnt bothered to cook for us .. so we ordered for Pizzas again .. this time bigger ones with appetizers and guess what .. it was all FREE absolutely ..not even taxes we had to pay ... If you are a follower of figure(like I am)you can say that we ordered pizzas worth Rs. 750(buggers i knew which figure you would be thinking of)
Man this was supposed to be a sponsored treat of my room mate but it came out to be freee and if add the two discounts we already had taken some 1050 rupees from Pizza guys in discount etc ...
But the bad thing is I dont want to eat any more pizza for atleast next 1 month totally fed up of pizzaas not even for free :)
chalo got to go now

Midnight bash in office
Hey .. long time since I appeared here rt!!
Well life as usual is taking its own course and I am on my way .. so no time .. anyways some update from my sides .. things ok type going office as usual hectic with work ... floods of installation(wondering what is that .. hehe u need to call me t0 get to know that ;))
But the good thing , I am able to see some beautiful people around my place so the day passes by happily .. while otherwise office sucks and so does my sal and boss but what to do .. it is not under my control ..
Hey happened to see AC Milan vs Liverpool Champions league Final match .. it was amazing match i had seen myself .. a wonderful display of metal in heart .Done 3-0, they managed to come back to 3-3 stand in a matter of 15 minutes .. I guess India should learn from these matches so as not to lose match so easily .. Liverpool put all there effort to make it level .. even though I agree that Luck also plays a role but there body language and approach made a huge difference .. and the goals scored were fancied by amazing co-ordination and skill .. I remember once SA defeated some country (not able to recollect possibly WI) about 2-3 weeks back .. the stats were 1 over 3 Wickets in hand and 4 runs to win against SA and still managed to win.
A match like that can give u what books like "You can win " or "Nothing is impossible" or tens of such books cannot. They shows us what it takes to succeed in life .. it is all about "Faith in yourself" and rest is left for God to take care of.
Well that is fightback and that is exactly what I am doing in my life and office .. I am a born winner and I will achieve what I want no matter what comes may.Life is not easy and what I am aiming for is actually worth that effort .. so why not give it a try .. well at this hour a decision is made , no worries what the outcome be .. .. let me put my best foot and we will see the result ..whatever it be...
hey missed on one thing .. it had rained like anything today in bangl .. it can be termed at par with rain accompanied with cyclones or torrential rains with hail storm... and my apprt got merged in drain water as usual .. and the wonderful thing is people charge 25Lacs for such a flat ..this place is truly amazing in that sense.
And with summers on ... Mango is here .. man the mango shake we get here (at jst 10 bucks a glass I am exxagerating its prices a bit) is just too good ... and the pimples on my face a sound proof of the fact how much I am njoying them
So far from me .. next week a team mate is off on vacation and I have to take care of his stuff so great week ahead .. lets see what is instored
chalo signing off now ...take care

bday bash of a dude
Finally, we managed to extract party from our dear college mate who had recently moved to Bangalore.I tell you ,it wasn't easy to get him ready for party and we had to resolve to threatening means to make him realise that he has to treat us.But Finally it was and happened just a few hours back... went to a place called samarkhand .The food was as always good ... the place was buzzing with good people .. but the ambience was a bit too dark and it took us time to adjust our eyes in the environment... we started with the sticks(i dont know the exact name for that ) and is served with cheese/myonaise .. then soup and paneer tikka
But why am I writing it all here ... well just to make u guys feel a bit bad me a bit better....
So another week passes by and another week stands at the door with new hopes new tasks new aspirations new challenges .. let see how it turns out to be .. but whatever it may .. I feel it will be crucial for me as a couple of decisions needs to be taken now or it wud be too late then

What crap
Man this is really bad, i worked for last 22 months like asses and now many ppl got hike in my grp but not me .. i came to know abt this only today and am really frustrated .. what is the point of working so late when there are no benefits in return .. i keep helping ppl in there problems , in there setups etc only to be tagged as "Poor knowledge abt product" .. i cant find a person in our team who had knowledge abt automation framework, winrunner , shell scripts, perl scripts,Linux kernel internal , Oracle Databases & Oracle Application Server installation & configuration.
But these are not known to people who decide such things
How can u judge performance of a person ... I think the best person would be your team leader to tell how u performed ,how u behaved, how u learned the new things and how responded to a new role ..
But the bottomline is u dont perform so no hike
Chalo not in a mood to write more
take care

Party time folks!!!
Hey,
last week was real cool ... two parties(a lunch and a dinner) and not much work, boss on leave so lots of things happening ....
It began with a senior company guy coming to India. He had hosted a dinner party for our team at Taj Residency ..man it was a buffet but was amazing .. varities of Chaat , juices - manga Lasi(that was something new) but tasted OK ,spring rolls, paneer tikka(though it wasnt that good) but most importantly sweet potato(my fav ) .I remember I had it last time some 2 yrs back in Delhi and it was now .. amazingly the same taste .. but I could not had much of it as the list is still continuing...
So where were we .. ya Spring roll,Paneer tikka, dhokla,a dhokla like roll( I dont know its name but was yummy) and a whole variety of salads...
Well that is it for starters & I was already feeling filled up.Than came the main course ..I must admit my appetite has gone down .. as I could not had much of the main course.
But tonnes of desserts
Gulab jamun, gajar halwa, ice cream mast tha .. delhi ki shaadi ki yaad aa gayi .. wahan bhi bahut kuch milta hain khaane ko

WAQT !!
Hey,
Happen to see this movie Waqt over the weekend .. a good movie until climax .. story about a self made man(Big B) and his spoiled son Aditya(akhsay) .Aditya is a guy with who cares attitude and is not bothered about how to earn in life.By the time , Amitabh and his wife realises this it is too late and Aditya is already married .To teach him a lesson , Amitabh makes him live with his wife in there out house and ask for rent and electricity .When left with nothing, he realises the hard truth of life .To earn his first sal, he acts as a stuntsman and braves hungary cannine (too filmy).
Another twist was when Amitabh was diagnosed for Lung Cancer. It ultimately comes out as a plan to teach him the truths for life before Amitabh Bachan dies.
He enters for a talent hunt contest (which he had to win after it is Akhsay Kumar)
As a whole a OK movie to watch(not bad when it come for 35 bucks ) .. couple of songs are good but nothing there to watch again.
